Using Guitars As Therapy For PTSD

The following video clip is an excerpt from the recently released documentary ACRONYM: The Cross-Generational Battle With PTSD. This short vignette discusses how guitar music can be effective as an alternative therapy for battling PTSD. To view the entire documentary, please go to https://youtu.be/jUeJHP5M2ck.

Donations come from wallets and purses, and they also come when you tell others about our Foundation. You can support our heroes with your commitment and share our passion for the military that need our help.

Many returning Service Members suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), the results of explosions while in the war. TBI has become so public because of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Harvest Guitars for the Troops sends the guitar package shown on this page to those in need. Service Members, both active and retired, who have PTSD and TBI, qualify for this package – no strings attached!  It’s amazing what music therapy can do to support our veteran’s needs.

You can get involved in supporting our service members with your single donation or with a monthly donation to help us with our PTSD and TBI Assistance.

Without our donors, Guitars for the Troops cannot provide the music therapy needed to help our combat wounded, critically ill and injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces.  Share our mission to help these deserving vets.
